If I could describe the show in 3 words: Hippy Happy Shake! At least that
was the tagline for the show and a perfect fit.
Metrocity is always one of my
favorite (if not my favorite) show of SFW. They have an incredible way of
putting on a performance with each runway, and this season was no different. The crowd is also the largest so everyone’s energy and vibe make it even more exciting.
This season embodied the western style and they ran with it. The runway was
covered in hay and there were giant balloons lighting the paths. While people
poured in and settled into their seats, I was able to catch up with friends
from abroad. It’s always nice to see the gals who fly in for SFW with their
businesses. The lights dimmed and the show began.
Thanks to the PR leading up to the show I knew Barbara Palvin, the
Metrocity muse, would be walking in the show and I was thrilled to
see her in person. Gorgeous doesn’t even being to describe her.
The collection was a mix of western inspired looks, fur, fringe, and a classy-cool style. I don’t know how you make western classy but Metrocity did it. The mix
of textures and the warm, earthy colors made me wish it was fall again (but just
for a moment!). Each look was styled on point,
from the fringe gloves to the tassels on the booties to the mix and matched pieces.
And those leather
knee high socks! You could turn any bootie into an over-the-knee look with
those. All in all, I loved the style of this whole collection and hope to snag a piece
