Treatment Tips for Olaplex No. 3

I’ve officially been using Olaplex No. 3 as a take home treatment for almost a year now and have seen a whole new side to my hair! If you’re asking yourself, “What the heck is Olaplex?!”, then read this first and come back. As most of you know it recently launched in South Korea (and I was even able to have my fangirl moment at the launch party with the incredible Guy Tang!)

It’s been a bit tricky to find salons that carry the products even though they have launched regionally. So for those that would like to purchase your own Olaplex No. 3 take home treatment in the ROK, pop over to my Facebook page and send me a message. I can give you details on how to get it.

If you already have No. 3, great! Let me share with you some of my favorite tips and tricks.

So it’s Saturday morning and I find myself lazing around my house. I’ll wet my head in the sink, towel dry my hair, then apply the Olaplex from tips to root (since my tips are usually the most damaged due to bleaching). I use about a quarter size amount (100won coin) for my long hair (picture below). I’ll run it through with my fingers then comb thorough once with a wide-tooth comb. Then I wrap all my hair up in a tee-shirt. The bottle says leave it like this for at least 10 minutes, the longer the better. If I’m in a rush, I’ll do this for 30 minutes, then hop in the shower, rinse it out, and shampoo and condition like normal. If I have nothing to do, I’ll leave it in for as long as I want before I shower and get ready. There are really no limits to this product.

Wet your hair in the sink, towel dry, and apply Olaplex No. 3 as usual (listed above). Leave your hair to air dry before bed or wrap it up and go to bed. Rinse it out in the morning then shampoo and condition like usual. Silky smooth locks!

Feel like your hair has too much static or don’t like those frizzies near your crown? Take a small pea size amount of Olaplex No. 3. Rub it between your hands and run your fingers through your hair. Controls frizz and heals at the same time!

I’ll even apply Olaplex as usual then style my hair in a bun for the day leaving it to work its magic. The possibilities are endless! It was a lifesaver at the beach and I’d leave it in all night a few times a week. Kept my hair protected from the salt water and chlorine. Be sure to use the treatment the day before any chemical services (even if you can’t find an Olaplex salon to add it directly to the process). Treating your hair before and after chemical services will still make a huge difference!

Have you tried No. 3 yet? Let me know your experiences below! You might not see an immediate result, but give it time, and after your first bottle I think you’ll feel a huge difference in your stands!
